Chronicles of an Emerging Internet Marketer

Yesterday I attended a webinar previewing the upcoming XSitePro 2.0.

All I can say is WOW!!!

I was floored. XSitePro 2.0 is a website builder, but the sites created by it will be anything but static. It really takes away any of the advantages a blog currently owns in the search engine marketplace.

Some of the new features that I am very excited about are the ability to schedule content publishing over time, the option to create forms that are completed on line and submitted to the email of your choice, and the ability to sell directly through paypal. The… Continue reading

I visited BoomTown, the newest evolution of Jaime Mintun’s IM Consultancy program.

I was impressed. It’s simplified from the earlier version and the path seems clearer to me. The steps are in place so a person very new to IM could hone the skills and knowledge to become a capable Internet consultant. Additionally, Jaime has built in tons of support along the way with mentors, tutorials, outsourcing options, and even personal sales reps. You name it.

I feel some trepidation because I really enjoy Internet marketing and don’t want to give it up. I’m wondering if once I better understand… Continue reading

Boomtown is the new name for Jaime Mintun’s consultancy program. Her intention is to provide participants with everything they need to create and sustain businesses as Internet consultants. She promises to hold one’s hand until they are making thousands each month.

I joined last year when it was called Turbo Charged Consulting. It was a bit slow getting off the ground at the time and, to be honest, my intention was to use it as a back up only if my efforts to create streams of Internet income fizzled. So it was way on the back burner.

I’m currently… Continue reading

Today I finally finished reconfiguring my eBay affiliate sites from Commission Junction links to eBay Partner Network links. What a process! I only have about 6 sites promoting the eBay affiliate program. I really feel for the people who have thousands of pages! What a job for them.

Now comes the question of reporting by the EPN. Folks on the E1KaDay forum are reporting inconsistencies and errors in EPN’s stats. I have to admit I haven’t gotten into checking out the reports yet. But, it will be important to watch how this… Continue reading

My involvement with the Black Ink Project has led me to Twitter.

Jeremy Palmer recommended that all participants in BIP follow him on Twitter, along with a course specific blog, to stay updated on developments in the program.

Actually, I’ve seen references to Twitter all over the place lately. It seem to be escalating. “Everyone” seems to be recommending it as an excellent tool for marketing. Since it’s Web 2.0 social marketing, though, the value is in the connecting with others over time and what can come from that, rather than direct selling.

I’m starting to have fun with… Continue reading

A week ago I mentioned a training program that I had signed up for: The Black Ink Project. This is being offered by Jeremy Palmer and the topic is affiliate marketing.

Got an email today from Jeremy who reports WebEx (they do webinars) has decided to feature the training. This means the number of seats available has tripled. Sounds like there’s plenty of room left. Go here if you’re interested. You can see an outline of the whole program and sign up. The training is free, and Jeremy is one of… Continue reading
