Today I added a new RSS setup to my marketing website. The software is MSI Fetch, which is free and fairly easy to install and configure. I had worked with CaRP before and found this to be pretty cumbersome. MSI Fetch allows you to configure and update the feed via a webpage, while CaRP requires you to update a file via FTP and program all the html yourself. I definitely prefer the webpage access.
I also did some more work with tag and ping. This is sort of time consuming, but hopefully worth it in the long run. I added my fitness website to a bunch of social bookmarking sites. I need to go through my list and get them all tagged. I think there are some programs that automate this a bit. Maybe I’ll do some research.
MyMSN won’t let me add this blog to my page. Claims it doesn’t recognize the feed URL. Yahoo and Google have no trouble, why does MSN? And why does MSN not index my webpages when Google and Yahoo do? I’ve gotten the impression that MSN is the easiest to get indexed with. Not true for me.
That’s it for now. Busy week ahead.
