Finally Entering the Forex Niche

Well, I’ve decided to enter the Forex niche. I was doing some research over the past days and realized the niche is very very lucrative. I figured even if I get minimal traffic, with the value of adsense clicks alone, I could do fairly well.

I picked out a domain name and now I’ll get going on a site. My plan is to use PLR articles and adsense in addition to promoting Clickbank products. That’s pretty typical, but I have a video created to promote a specific CB product that has a gravity through going the roof. It’ll be fun to see how that does.

The adsense average cost per click (CPC) for keywords in the forex niche is around $8 a click. The highest value CPC for a keyword is over $20 and the lowest is $3 for the first 150 keywords. That’s pretty incredible and I’d be very happy with a slice of it.

The PLR articles I plan to use are written by Rosie Cottis, who has an excellent reputation on the Warrior Forum for her writing skills. She is submitting an article a day to subscribers, so we should be able to keep up with a fairly regular posting schedule and have plenty left over for reports and autoresponders. Rosie is also limiting the number of article packs that will go out, so that should ease any saturation.

It will still be important to do some keyword research to figure out the best words to optimize and build links for. That might be the most challening part of this whole project, since almost every other Internet marketer in the world is already in the Forex niche.

I’m expecting this will be time well spent and a very good learning experience if nothing else. I’ll let you know.

Focusing on Niche Affiliate Sites

A new blog theme today.  I really like this one.  I feel energized by it.

There is a lot of activity in my internet marketing world these days.  My primary focus is on building niche affiliate sites.  I mentioned last week that my goal is 50 sites by June.  I’m still not getting a sense of urgency, though, that compels me to put in the necessary effort and focus to accomplish that big of a goal.  What could that be about?  My back just isn’t to the wall — yet?

What I’ll commit to instead is getting 6 more sites up and ready for visitors by the end of this week.  The market research is done and I have purchased the domain names.  They are set up on the server and blogs have been uploaded.  What is left is basically activating the blogs and getting the content started.  I’m going to use the phpBay Pro plugin to monetize the sites with ebay auctions.  I’ll also include some articles/posts to give the sites some depth.  I can do that by Friday.

I’ll follow that with some promotion:  submitting RSS feeds, some social bookmarking, creating some feeder blogs for links, etc.  I’ve recently participated in a class on the Warrior Forum in which Kevin Riley teaches a traffic strategy.  Really good stuff.  I’ll follow his guidance and create some promotional videos as well.  He gives a really clear step by step process.  That should be really powerful!

There’s so much more, but that’s all for now.  Have a good one!

Want to Learn CPA Marketing from the Best?

If you’re interested in CPA marketing there is a free report being offered by Gauher Chaudhry as a prelude to his product launch of Pay Per Click Formula 2.  The original PPC Formula came out several years ago and was lauded as a fantastic product for learning how combine PPC and CPA marketing.  For anyone who is not familiar, CPA stands for cost per action.  This link will take you to the free report.

I’d love to learn to effectively promote CPA offers.  This is probably the guy to learn it from although they’re offering a series of tutorials for CPA over at the Immediate Edge as well.  I’m sure I won’t buy this product when it comes out, but I will take the free information to start building my knowledge base.

My focus these days is on building niche affiliate sites.  I’d like to build 50 by June.  Can I do that?  Yes.  The bigger question is, WILL I do that?  The promotion is always the time consuming part and I’m on the lookout for effective promotion methods that can be put on autopilot.  The answer may be outsourcing.

I’ve been using Mechanical Turk when outsourcing article writing for about a year now. For the most part I’ve been pleased. Some articles have been fantastic and others not so great but usable with a little work.  The biggest thing to watch out for with this group is plagiarism.  I check everything with copyscape before I even read it.  But I have plans to have about 25 articles written for one of my sites in the next few days to start an article blitz of sorts and hopefully pick up the traffic again.

Have a good one!

What’s Going on With the eBay Partner Network?

So, what’s going on with the eBay Partner Network?

I’m hearing that they are trimming the number of affiliates in their network and they’re doing this without warning or much explanation. Hm. I’m not sure anyone knows what the criteria are that eBay is using, so many affiliates are pretty scared. Posters on the eBay forum seem to feel pretty angry and pretty helpless. No clear explanation is coming from eBay at all.

Now I have several sites with eBay ads on them and have earned some commission, but nothing breathtaking yet. If they’re going to dump me, I hope they do it soon so I can redirect the focus of my sites without putting in much more effort. But, I’d really prefer to continue to be an affiliate for them. Promoting eBay is fun.

Black Ink Project Has More Space

A week ago I mentioned a training program that I had signed up for: The Black Ink Project. This is being offered by Jeremy Palmer and the topic is affiliate marketing.

Got an email today from Jeremy who reports WebEx (they do webinars) has decided to feature the training. This means the number of seats available has tripled. Sounds like there’s plenty of room left. Go here if you’re interested. You can see an outline of the whole program and sign up. The training is free, and Jeremy is one of the best in the affiliate marketing arena.

Seems like a rare opportunity and I’m really looking forward to it. He even has Aaron Wall set up as a speaker on SEO. That’s the best.
