Adsense Lessons Learned

Portal Feeder opened its doors again today. It’s a huge program that teachs how to create websites and really develop a presence on the web. It’s the whole deal with built in traffic promotion, market research, and you name it. It looks fabulous and I’m so tempted!

But, I said the same thing last night about Niches-In-A-Box. Both offer a tremendous program with a ton of training. Sounds like you couldn’t lose with either. My question is, do I want to invest in a program with more structure, or do I want to continue to put the pieces together myself?

One thing I’ve realized is that the adsense website model I learned in the training I took a few months ago is a bit archaic. I wish I had the same awareness then that I do now. While the method was probably really sound a year to 18 months ago, adsense is not the same entity it was then.

The cost in time and/or money for article marketing is tremendous, and recouping that through adsense clicks is a challenge. To do so requires a huge number of adsense sites and a tremendous number of fresh articles regularly to keep the traffic flowing. I’ll continue to build up the sites I have already created, but will not put the time or money into creating any more at this point. Was taking the class a mistake? No. The education has been invaluable.

Today I learned of another cool tool. It’s called DupeFreePro and it calculates the percentage of duplication in articles you’re working with, and checks for duplicate content on the Internet. The best part is it’s free. Check it out.

That’s all for now. Have a good one.

Traffic, Articles, Blogging

Beginning tomorrow, an internet traffic expert is going to be leading the Keyword Avalanche members through a 30 day traffic generation experiment. All we have to do is pick one of our sites and show up. He’ll give the directions for our specific tasks everyday. Should be a pretty valuable learning experience.

FYI, the Keyword Avalanche $1 trial membership continues to be available. Obviously I think it’s a great value, it’s all I talk about! Here’s the scoop: KA $1 Trial — user: kashe — pw: vault.

I finally registered at AssociatedContent.com today. I say “finally” because I first heard about them eons ago. They pay people to write and submit articles. It’s not a ton of money, at least at first, but it is a payment and can grow. Also, I’ve only heard good things about them. If you write at all, you might give them a look.

I’ve been mapping my Blogini 2.0 blogging strategy. My intention is to keep it manageable and consistent. I think first time around I tried to do too much. This time I’ll work it differently. Ken has a very polished sales page up now, so you can get a comprehensive idea of what is available. He’s really overhauled the whole program. I’m excited…

Thanks for visiting and have a good one.

Traffic Tactics

Listened to a call tonight about Traffic Tactics with Jim Morris and Scot Standke of Keyword Avalanche and their guest Howie Schwartz, who they say is a “walking traffic generating machine.”

It was well worth the time spent listening. First it was pretty cool that I understood almost everything they were talking about. Second I learned that I am pretty much on track, at least in what I intend to do. Howie confirmed that it takes a good amount of time to build to a high and consistent visitor level. Being consistent with your article marketing and link building is vital. If you are consistent, it still may not come for 3 months. Very interesting.

Sounds like using ppc is the best way to get fast traffic and to test sites for conversions, etc., but not a good idea for adsense sites. That makes sense to me.

What this all means for me is more consistent article submissions and more link building. I have the knowledge and the tools. Taking the consistent action is the key. It always comes down to this. There is no magic answer. I have a lot of work to do. Realistically, there is no way to do it all myself. Outsourcing is the way to go.

Finally, I’m having problems with copyscape.com today. The program couldn’t find my webpage online, and it definitely was online. I wonder what that’s about? Is anyone else aware of any problems?

I’ll call it a night. Thanks for visiting.

Article Marketing Leads to The Secret

Today’s focus is keyword research and article writing. It’s time to start cranking out some articles to promote my websites, and to ensure I have a free pass this month with InfoGoRound. I’ve learned some techniques to make the writing process easier and I’m trying those out. I really enjoy the research part.

Also, the videos are up on the Blogini 2.0 sales page today. It’s time to make my decision about which level of membership I opt for. Do I want the Blogini folks to create niche blogs for me and grow them overtime? Or, do I want to create my own sites and just take advantage of all the extra benefits? We’ll see.

“The Secret” made it’s way onto the Boston Legal TV episode last night. I just roared when we saw the culmination of Denny Crane’s efforts to attract Raquel Welch into his life. Very, very funny.

Just prior to watching the show, I had listened to an interview with Rhonda Byrne, the creator of “The Secret.” If you’re not familiar with this phenomenon, it is based on the law of attraction and is the latest rage in the news. The DVD came first and then the book, which has become a best seller. Rhonda absolutely exudes joy. She is such a delight to listen to.

That’s all for now. Have a good one.

Knowledge, Belief and Action

Feels like months since I’ve written anything here. Not good! Several days at the end of last week were pretty tied up completing my tax return. I’ll tell you that was an eye opener. It is so easy to spend money on Internet marketing products! And I spent a lot of it!

What I can clearly see is I have a fabulous foundation of tools to use in building and promoting websites. I feel more committed now than ever to focus my attention on niche websites, article marketing, and affiliate promotions. I have everything I need and it feels so clear now.

I checked my adsense earnings tonight. I don’t do that very often. But I was pleased to see the progress. The sites that are bringing in the most money are the adsense sites I built as part of the coaching program I am in. This is really encouraging. There is so much more I could be doing to promote those sites, like submitting more articles and building more backlinks.

What strikes me about these sites in contrast to the sites I previously constructed, is that these ones are very keyword specific and I have submitted articles to promote them. I guess I really like the results I’m seeing. The potential is pretty exciting.

It has occurred to me a number of times in the past few days, that my success is all in my hands. I have nothing to stand in my way. I can make this happen if I really want to. I do have everything I need. I have a system to follow. I have access to 2 really excellent forums with very experienced marketers, where I can ask questions and trust I’ll get honest direction.

I get to make this happen. It’s not about luck at all. It’s about knowledge, and belief, and action. I feel very empowered and very ready.

Have a good one and thanks for visiting.
