Blogini 2.0 Launch Emerging

Well, the new Blogini 2.0 sales page is up. Sort of anyway. I have to say I’m amazed at what a calamity this launch has turned into. If I didn’t know better, I would question how the Blogini folks could be competent in building a linking network when they can’t seem to get a sales page up. I admit the pace has driven me crazy. I am anxious to see the videos that will show me what all the changes look like. Patience, patience…

I took some feedback to heart the other day. A fellow marketer said it seemed like I was on a rollercoaster. Hm.

I do recognize how true this is. Focus still eludes me. Every opportunity is enticing. I’ve seen references all over the place lately that to be successful we need to get good at one thing. Once that one thing is really well established then we can try something else.

So, while I’d love to move into marketing with eBay and adwords and amazon.com, I feel the most comfortable with building niche websites and monetizing with adsense. What I really need to focus on is exactly that, defined as building adsense sites and promoting these with articles. I’ll also plan to promote with other link building activities also. I’ll include some affiliate promotions on the sites too. That’s it. That’s what I do.

I’ve been re-reading Tim Gorman’s stuff on the Keyword Avalanche forum again. Tim is a member of the KA staff. He’s the army officer that has designed the article blitz process. He’s extremely successful. His is the prototype system for article marketing. I’ve been checking out a bunch of his websites and pretty much know exactly how to proceed. I’ll just do a little more keyword research ahead of time than he does. Cool.

As far as I know, the $1 trial is still available at the KA forum. It’s not too late, but may be soon. Here’s the access info if you want it: KA $1 Trial Membership — user: kashe — pw: vault.

That’s all for now. Have a good one!

Technorati and Blogs

Sort of a fun day. I continued to load content onto blogs that compliment my adsense sites. It becomes sort of mindless but I have a solid sense of satisfaction for completing the task. Then I claimed them all in Technorati too.

Now it’s back to preparing some original articles to spool for Article Post Robot and get them submitted to a whole bunch of smaller directories. I’ll announce all of the pages on the websites through Article Underground again, and it’s time to submit fresh articles to the major article directories all over again. Keep promoting! That’s how it will pay off.

Well, that’s my day. If you didn’t catch that Keyword Avalanche is open to new members on a trial basis for a short time, take a look now. It won’t last for long. Use this link — KA $1 Trial Membership — when you check it out.

It’s password protected because not everyone gets access to it. Use these to get in — user: kashe — pw: vault.

Have fun with it! I sure do.

Tracking Backlinks

Just a quick update today.  I submitted 3 articles to ezinearticles.com and all were accepted.  I also learned that I have been awarded “expert author status” for all 3 of my pen names.  Not sure what benefits that gives me, but I’m sure the label is good.

I’ve also been playing with Website Position Wizard a little bit.  This is a free version of the software that I downloaded a few months ago.  It tracks the indexed pages and backlinks in Google, Yahoo, and MSN for any websites you designate.  Very interesting results.  Google recognizes no backlinks, Yahoo has thousands and MSN shows hundreds.  What’s the deal?  How to understand this?  I’ll ask some questions and report back.  Right now that data is not very useful because it is too different between the SEs.

Have a good one.

Google Analytics

Continued with the article submission process today. Had a couple bugs to work out, but over all it went very smoothly.

In order to understand and track the traffic that comes to my sites better, I signed up for Google Analytics awhile ago. I feel a little uneasy about being so close to Google, but the service is valuable and it was recommended in the Keyword Avalanche forum. (I obviously pay a lot of attention to what some of the KA members recommend.)

Looking at the data today, I see that my traffic is picking up for a number of my adsense sites and it’s coming primarily from Google, MSN, Ezine Articles, some social bookmarking sites, and the Article Underground blogs. So a variety.

What’s the deal with Yahoo, though? I seem to have the hardest time getting indexed by them. Any ideas?

I’m feeling really good about my focused efforts lately and the direction I’m headed. Very cool.

Have a good one!

Article Submitting in Progress

I’m right now in the process of submitting an article to a whole bunch of article directories with Article Post Robot. I’m thrilled! The posting process moves much more quickly that I expected.

I did a little research earlier today about which keywords on my adsense sites would be easiest to rank for in Google. Then I started with one of the easiest, rewrote that article and started submitting. With the spooler script I used, my articles are all 30% different from each other. This feels so cool, like I’ve jumped a huge hurdle successfully and now it’s full steam ahead.

The rewriting process took awhile, but I know with practice I’ll get better.

Now I’m curious to find out what kind of a change in traffic and adsense clicks I experience. This will be fun. I’ll keep you posted.
